I've been working on the website for Flashbaak, my retail cart in downtown Boulder. A few nights ago, I was awake past 3am fueled with inspiration as I completely redesigned what I had initially been working on.
 
Flashbaak's brand style is inspired by vintage circus design and fits well with the fact that the core business is a cart, which itself has a bit of circus cart flair. Since I am a poster designer, my recent redesign inspiration was to treat the website in a similar manner to classic circus posters.

You can see the poster influence with large, headlining typography which is designed, not just typed out. Even the symmetrical three-column layout is impacted by Victorian-era poster art. But the design is no doubt modern. It is a website and not a poster. The design must be flexible, scaleable and easy to alter. It's a living design.
